Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data the ip.sb website (the “Service”) processes, why, and what happens to it. The short version: the Service has no user accounts, sets no tracking cookies of its own, and does not sell personal data. It processes your IP address because showing you your IP address is what the Service is for.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Show Corporation.
Show Corporation
838 Walker Road, Suite 21-2
Dover, Delaware 19904, United States

[email protected]
2. Data we process
Connection data. When you visit, we receive your IP address and standard request metadata (user agent, referring page, requested URL). We use it to render the page (your IP address and its geolocation are displayed back to you) and to keep the Service healthy: rate limiting, abuse prevention, and short-lived operational logs.
Lookup queries. The IP addresses, network blocks, ASNs, and domain names you look up are processed to answer the query and cached briefly (typically minutes to a few hours) so repeated queries do not hammer upstream registries. Cached results are keyed by the queried resource, not by who asked.
Derived lookups. To show hostname information, the Service performs reverse DNS (PTR) lookups for the displayed IP addresses. Results are cached for up to a day.
3. Data we do not collect
- No accounts, registration, or profiles.
- No first-party tracking or analytics cookies.
- No sale, rental, or trade of personal data. Ever.
4. Cookies and local storage
The Service itself sets no cookies. Your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser’s local storage and never leaves your device.
Advertising banners served by third parties (such as Google) may set their own cookies, subject to those parties’ policies. See Google’s advertising policies. You can block third-party cookies in your browser without affecting the Service.
5. Third parties
Cloudflare. The Service is delivered through Cloudflare’s network, which processes traffic as our infrastructure provider (see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy).
Geolocation databases. Geolocation lookups run against local copies of the MaxMind GeoIP and IPinfo databases on our own servers. Your IP address is not sent to MaxMind or IPinfo.
RDAP and WHOIS registries. When you run a whois lookup, our server forwards the queried resource (the domain, IP, or ASN you typed) to the responsible registry or registrar. Your own IP address is not included in those queries.
6. Retention
Response caches expire automatically (minutes to hours; reverse-DNS caches up to one day). Rate-limit counters expire within minutes to hours. Operational logs are kept only as long as needed for debugging and abuse handling, then rotated out.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to processing. The Service keeps so little (short-lived logs and caches keyed mostly by IP) that in most cases the data will already be gone; for any request, contact [email protected]. Where a legal basis is required, we process connection data on the basis of legitimate interest in operating and protecting a free public utility.
8. Children
The Service is a network utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a revised version on this page with a new date. The revision applies from the moment it is posted.
10. Contact
[email protected], or by post at the address in section 1.
